About the Library
The MAHGU Library serves as a prominent center of knowledge and learning, offering students, researchers, and faculty access to a wide range of academic materials, reference books, and scholarly resources. It provides an environment where curious minds can develop strong analytical and reasoning skills while exploring new ideas.
Carefully selected books, reference works, and scholarly periodicals are organized systematically, complemented by comfortable and spacious reading areas to ensure a meaningful and enjoyable learning experience. In addition to core textbooks, the library houses special collections in religious studies, general literature, and several professional disciplines, making it a unique hub for academic study and research.
The library also features a dedicated Digital Library Section, offering access to e-books, online journals, open educational resources (OERs), and several other digital learning platforms supporting modern academic needs.
Library Automation
The services and operations of the Central Library are fully computerized. To enhance efficiency, transparency, and user convenience, MAHGU Library uses the KOHA Library Management Software. All reading materials are classified according to the Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC) system and catalogued using the Anglo-American Cataloguing Rules (AACR-II). Circulation services are managed through a barcode-based system to ensure quick and accurate issue and return of materials.

A well-structured seating arrangement with ample capacity offers a peaceful and productive environment for readers. The space supports focused study, research activities, and self-learning for all categories of users.
